Xiaomi on Tuesday i.e on 12th June announced the launch of its latest budget smartphones "Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A". Both the Redmi 6 phones have a similar 5.45-inches display with the 18:9 aspect ratio and runs MIUI 9 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.
Redmi 6A is powered by the Helio A22 processor which has 12 nm FinFET design, and the processor is clocked at 2.0 Ghz. Xiaomi claims this is faster than Snapdragon 425 and MediaTek 6739.
Redmi 6 is powered by an octa-core 12nm MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, clocked at 2GHz, paired with 3GB/ 4GB of RAM. In terms of optics, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 gets horizontally stacked dual rear camera setup(12MP primary sensor and 5MP secondary sensor). It features Portrait mode. On the front, the smartphone gets a 5MP and AI beautification features. There is 32GB/ 64GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB), with its own card slot.
Note: Phones were launched in China and will be available for sale on June 15th. I'll comeback with complete specifications once the phone is available for sale.
