BlackBerry KEY2 With QWERTY Keypad Launched in India

BlackBerry Key2:

BlackBerry Key2 with dual Cameras launched in India on Monday. The phone offers a series 7 aluminium alloy frame, a textured diamond grip back panel and a Qwerty keyboard that comes with certain intelligent shortcuts helping users to launch apps and activate commands with press of a single key. 

The KEY2 is priced Rs.42,990 and will go on sale exclusively via Amazon India from July 31st, 2018. They say that the phone comes bundled with Reliance Jio cashback offer of Rs. 4,450 and ICICI bank cashback offer as well. The company says that there will be additional launch benefits.


The KEY2 is the first BlackBerry-branded smartphone to sport a dual camera setup, and it incorporates features such as portrait mode and optical zoom.

Design: 
The phone is designed for Qwerty keypad lovers with latest specifications built-in. BlackBerry logo sits in the rear centre of the phone while the power and volume buttons are placed on the right side(edge) of the smartphone.

Specifications: 
Dual - SIM KEY2 runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and sports a 4.5" FHD IPS LCD display with 2.5D corning Gorilla Glass. Screen comes with a pixel density of 433ppi and 24 bit colour depth. The phone is powered by a 64 bit octa core Qualcomm snapdragon 660 SoC, combined with 6GB RAM. 

Camera: 
  1. Rear: BlackBerry KEY2 sports a horizontal dual camera setup with two 12MP rear sensors.
  2. Flash: Dual tone LED flash
  3. Video: 4K Video recording at 30FPS 
  4. Front camera: 8MP fixed focus with screen flash and FHD video recording.

  • 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants
  • Expandable via microSD card upto 256GB

Battery and connectivity:
  • 3500mAh with quick charge 3.0 support.
  • Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0 LE
