How to unlock your Android smartphone if it gets locked

We sometimes use a screen lock on Android devices to protect data or prevent unauthorised access. It is always recommended to use complex passwords or pattern to make it hard to guess.  Sometimes complex passwords are hard to remember as we forget.

Here is a way to unlock your device if you forget the password/PIN.

Using Android Device Manager

1. Open " https://myaccount.google.com/find-your-phone-guide " on your Computer or other smartphone.

2. Login to Google Account linked to your Smartphone(that you want to unlock)

3. After signing in, select the device you want to unlock from the list.

4. From the next screen, select the option "Lock your Phone".

5. Enter new password to replace your old Password/PIN or pattern on your Smartphone.

6. Click on "Lock" button at the bottom.

7. Head to your smartphone and use your new password to unlock and set a new screen lock.  :)
