Google Chromecast 3 that was unveiled earlier this month with all new design has now been launched in India. There is also new hardware under the hood that is touted to perform 15% faster than the previous Chromecast. In addition, Chromecast 3 supports 60fps video streaming at full HD(1080p) resolution.
Price of Chromecast 3 in India: The price of the device has been set at Rs. 3,499 and is available for purchase through Flipkart. As an introductory offer, customers purchasing the device from Flipkart get a free one year subscription to Sony Liv and 6 months of ad free streaming on Gaana. The online marketplace is also offering a Rs. 100 cashback when purchasing the new Chromecast using PhonePe account.
Chromecast 3 measures 162 x 51.8 x 13.8mm and weighs 39.1 grams.

There is also support for 60fps video streaming at full-HD (1080p) resolution. This is higher than the previous 60fps streaming support that was limited to HD (720p) resolution.
