We all know that Aadhaar card is one of the most widely accepted identity proof in India. What if you lose or misplace your Aadhaar card?
UIDAI has recently launched a service that allows users to get lost or misplaced Aadhar card re-printed by paying just Rs. 50. Re-printed Aadhaar card will be delivered via speed post in 5 working days. (Aadhar will be delivered to registered address).
Here is a Step by Step guide on how to reprint lost Aadhar card:
Note: You should have your Aadhaar card number or virtual identification Number to raise reprinting request. You should also have your phone number linked with it.
Step 1: Open www.uidai.gov.in on your Browser (PC/Tablet/smartphone).
Step 2: Navigate to "Aadhar services" section and selection and select 'Order Aadhaar reprint option.
Step 3: New page opens asking to enter 12 digit Aadhaar number or 16 digit virtual Identification Number and security code(captcha) in the dialogue box.

Step 4: If you have your mobile number registered, click "Send OTP". If you have not registered your phone number then tick checkbox that says "If you do not register your mobile number" and proceed.
Step 5: Enter OTP received on your Phone.
Step 6: Check details in preview and if all the details are correct, click on "Make Payment" option.
Step 7: Make payment.
Step 8: Once done, you will see a confirmation message on your screen and you will also receive a message on your phone containing SRN number for future reference.
