Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Introduced Channel selector Application to help users choose Channels and know monthly rental

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRIA) has introduced web application to select DTH and cable channels. This channel selector application helps users optimise the selection of their choice and the cost of the selected channels.

The Channel selector app helps users decide the best channels that suit their budget easily. I'm sure you would love to select your channels and know the cost of your selection. If yes, proceed to select channels by Clicking Here or open the link https://channel.trai.gov.in/ in a new browser and click on "Get Started" button which is there at the bottom of the page. Answer few questions and proceed to channel selection page.

You can select the channels you want in your monthly plan and leave out the ones you do not watch. TRIA keeps calculating your monthly rental based on your selection. Here is the screenshot that shows the cost of the channels that I've selected while checking the application.

After selecting the channels, you can view your rental amount by selecting "View Selection" button on top right corner. The page gives you breakup of free channels and paid channels, total amount that you pay for channels, GST, TAX and the network capacity fees payable to DTH service provider. The total monthly MRP is then shown at the bottom along with list of channels.
