Differences between Xiaomi Mi Band 4 and Xiaomi Mi Band 3

The most affordable and popular fitness trackers in the world are Mi Band 3 and Mi Band 4. If you would like to decide between these 2 fitness Bands, then you should know the differences between Mi 3 and Mi 4.

Display:

The most important upgrade in terms of display, Mi Band 4 shows colours. Hence the full colour display is an advantage the Mi Band 4 has over Mi Band 3.

Another difference in display is the screen. Mi Band 4 features 0.95” AMOLED screen whereas Mi Band 3 features 0.78” OLED display.

Design: 

Design is almost same when it comes to design. Both the Bands are waterproof upto 50 mts. However there is slight variation in terms of weight of the Band. Mi Band 4 is 2 gms heavier than Mi Band 3. 

Sensors and Tracking:

Tracking system is available in Mi Bands to count the steps, calorie burn and to monitor sleep. The Band also tracks running and cycling. Both the Bands does not include GPS for location tracking, however Mi Band 4 connects using Phones GPS to map outdoor activity routes.

Another difference is that Mi Band 4’s Six Axis sensor tracks swimming more accurately. It tracks specific strokes i.e backstroke, butterfly, freestyle and medley strokes in the pool.

Battery:

Battery life depends on usage. Mi Band 4 comes with 135 mAh battery however the Mi Band 3 comes with 110 mAh battery. Sources say that Mi Band 4 gives a battery life of 20 days, however with intensive workouts and a week with music playback the battery lasts upto 14 days. Mi Band 3 also gives a battery life of upto 20 days.
