To check how it works, just upload an image/photo from your desktop to Google images and the Google shows the related images used on other websites. It also shows different sizes of the same photo or the image.

Another advantage of reverse image search is, the owners of the photos or images can “Search by image” to find out if other websites are using their images or photos.
Google image search feature is available only for Desktop computer.
