Samsung Galaxy Watch with always on Display launched : Price and Specifications

Samsung launched "Galaxy watch" alongside Galaxy Note 9 which comes as successor to Gear S4. The watch features a circular display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ panel and is water resistant with 5 ATM rating. Galaxy watch runs Tizen  OS along with a rotating bezel UI and an always on Display experience. 

Samsung has provided analogue watch ticks and hourly chimes for traditional looks. They say that there is depth effect that casts shadows to define the detail on the watch face. The watch has heart rate monitoring through a built-in sensor and dedicated stress management tracker. 

Price of the watch: 

42mm version is approximately Rs. 25,000 and the 46mm version is priced at Rs.30,000(roughly). 

Specifications:

Samsung Galaxy Watch features a Circular Super AMOLED panel along with Always On Display and Corning Gorilla Glass DX+ protection.  There is a dual-core Exynos 9110 SoC, coupled with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, gyro and HRM.

Galaxy Watch has Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC, A-GPS/ GLONASS. Watch is compatible with devices running at least Android 5.0 or the iPhone 5 and later based on iOS 9.0.

Galaxy Watch 42mm variant has a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display with 360x360 pixels resolution and a 270mAh battery.

Galaxy Watch 46mm features a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display along with a 360x360 pixels resolution and packs a 472mAh battery.
