Reliance Jio launches literacy program for first time Internet users in India – Digital Udaan a Reliance Jio and Facebook initiative



India’s well known Business man or the richest Indian business man Mukesh Ambani enabled millions of Indians to come online by introducing Jio. 80% of Indians are now using Jio network and most importantly watching ICC cricket world cup 2019 on Hotstar via Jio network(for free).


The Jio group/Mukesh Ambani now has plans to introduce “Digital Udaan”. Jio has announced a literacy program i.e Digital Udaan for first time Internet users in India. The company has partnered with Facebook to create the largest digital literacy program in India. The program offers audio-visual training in almost 10 regional languages.

Sources say that Jio will hold training sessions to help Internet users learn about Internet Safety and how to engage with popular and most used services. These training sessions will be held on Saturday. Jio also provides training videos and information brochures to Digital Udaan participants.


Reports says that Facebook helped Jio to build modules relevant for people in different cities in India. Training sessions will be conducted by Jio in almost 200 locations across 13 states in first phase and then the training will be expanded to more locations. With this millions of JioPhone users and first time Internet users will learn about Internet Safety and how to engage with popular and most used services.
