As we know India celebrates Independence Day on 15th
August every year. It was on August 15th 1947 that we (India) got Independence;
we celebrate Independence Day with great passion. India (all the people) comes
out on streets to take part in Independence Day celebrations.
On Independence Day, every Indian carries Indian
National flag with pride and sing National Anthem and patriotic songs.
Essay on Independence Day
August 15th, 1947 is a very important day
in Indian History as we got Independence on this date. It is after lots of hard
struggle and sacrifices of Indian freedom fighters, India got Independence.
People of India elected Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru as the
first Prime Minister of India. Our Tricolour National Flag was unfurled at Red
Fort in New Delhi. Irrespective of demographic differences, religion, culture
or caste, India rejoice Independence Day with great Joy every year.
Independence Day is declared as the National Holiday.
Schools, offices, colleges, universities and companies remain closed on this
day. August 15th is celebrated in every school, college and educational
institutions by students. Not only students, Independence Day are also
celebrated in office and many organizations.
In schools, students participate and perform cultural
activities during Independence day celebration. The chief guest or the
principal of the school unfurls the National flat, National Anthem is sung and
march past and procession takes place in streets.
